NALFLEET™ Cooltreat AL™

COOLTREAT AL for Ship engine

Pack Size - 25 LTR

NALFLEET™ Cooltreat AL™ is a biodegradable, organic corrosion inhibitor designed for closed engine cooling systems. Provides long-lasting protection for all common metals, including aluminium.

NALFLEET™ Cooltreat AL™ is a premium, organic liquid corrosion inhibitor designed for closed engine cooling water systems. Unlike traditional inhibitors, it forms a thin, durable protective layer on metal surfaces, preventing corrosion while maintaining excellent heat transfer efficiency.

This innovative solution is based on aliphatic acid technology, making it non-depleting and requiring less frequent testing. Its environmentally friendly, biodegradable formulation ensures compliance with modern marine regulations.

Ideal for protecting materials such as aluminium, steel, and brass, NALFLEET™ Cooltreat AL™ is perfect for use in:

  • Diesel Engines

  • Compressors

  • Central Heating Systems

  • Auxiliary Machinery Cooling Systems

How to Use

1. System Preparation:

  • For new systems, clean the system with UNITOR™ Commissioning Cleaner before applying Cooltreat AL.

  • For contaminated systems, degrease using UNITOR™ Seaclean Plus followed by descaling with UNITOR™ Descalex.

2. Dosing Method:

  • Add 60 litres of Cooltreat AL™ per 1,000 litres of untreated distilled water (6% concentration).

  • For systems with aluminium components, ensure Cooltreat AL is used rather than traditional inhibitors.

3. Maintenance and Testing:

  • Regularly test the system using the Spectrapak Test Kit to ensure optimal inhibitor levels.

  • Maintain pH levels between 7.0 and 9.0 and ensure chloride levels are below 50 ppm.

4. Make-Up Water:

  • Always dose 6% Cooltreat AL™ in any make-up water added to the system.

  • Use distilled water to minimize chloride levels and maximize corrosion protection.
